Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

DAY 23

Having Tawakkul

The Ayah

وَمَن يَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهُۥٓ ۚ

"And whoever relies upon Allah — then He is sufficient for him."
[At-Talaq, 65:3]

This Ayah In Your Life

You carry so much. The worry. The planning. The fear of what might happen. You try to control everything because you're scared of what happens if you don't. But Allah is telling you — let go. Whoever relies on Him, He is enough. Not "He might help." Not "He'll send someone." He — alone — is enough. Tawakkul isn't laziness. It's doing your part and then handing the results to Him. It's tying your camel and trusting. It's knowing that whatever happens, He's got you. The weight you're carrying was never yours to hold alone.

What The Salaf Said

The Prophet ﷺ said: "If you were to rely upon Allah with true reliance, He would provide for you as He provides for the birds. They go out hungry and return full."

— Sunan at-Tirmidhi

Action

That thing keeping you up at night — make dua for it. Do what you can. Then leave it with Him.

Reflect

What are you gripping so tightly that you've forgotten who's really in control?

AL-HALEEM

The Forbearing, The Patient

"And know that Allah knows what is within yourselves, so beware of Him. And know that Allah is Forgiving and Forbearing."
[Al-Baqarah, 2:235]

The Meaning

  • He doesn't rush to punish. Anger doesn't provoke Him. The ignorance of the ignorant doesn't make Him hasty.

  • His servants disobey Him — yet He still pours blessings on them, openly and secretly. He gives them time to repent. He waits for them to return.

  • But be careful. When Al-Haleem is finally angry, nothing stands in its way. He only gets angry at those who truly don't deserve mercy.

Al-Haleem In Your Life

  • You sinned this morning and still ate, still breathed, still lived. That's Al-Haleem giving you another chance. Not because you deserve it.

  • He sees everything you hide. He could expose you. Humiliate you. Punish you on the spot. Instead, He waits. He's giving you time.

  • Don't mistake His patience for approval. Al-Haleem holds back so you can repent — not so you can keep sinning.

How You Live Differently

  • Feel shy before Al-Haleem. He watches you sin and still sends blessings. What kind of heart keeps disobeying Someone like that?

  • Use the time He's giving you. His patience isn't forever. Repent before His forbearance runs out.

  • Be forbearing with people. Control your anger. You want Al-Haleem to be patient with you? Be patient with others.

WORTH YOUR TIME

May Allah soften our hearts and make us among those who remember Him,
