Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

DAY 24

Having Tawakkul

The Ayah

وَمَن يَتَّقِ ٱللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُۥ مَخْرَجًۭا ٢ وَيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُ ۚ

"And whoever fears Allah — He will make for him a way out. And will provide for him from where he does not expect."
[At-Talaq, 65:2-3]

This Ayah In Your Life

No way out. You've looked everywhere. Every option dead. Allah says: there is a way. Have taqwah of Me. Do what I commanded. Leave what I forbade. And I'll open a path you can't even see right now. Money from where you didn't expect. Relief from a direction you never imagined.

Taqwa opens doors. Sins close them. Every sin is a lock. Every act of obedience is a key. That door that won't budge? Maybe there's a sin blocking it. Istighfar removes the block. Dhikr keeps the path clear. You might be one tawbah away from everything opening up.

What The Salaf Said

Talq bin Habib said: "Taqwa is to act in obedience to Allah, upon a light from Allah (i.e imaan), hoping for the mercy of Allah. And taqwa is to leave acts of disobedience to Allah, upon a light from Allah (i.e imaan), fearing the punishment of Allah."

ibn al-Mubarak, al-Zuhd #473

Action

Make istighfar. Make dhikr. Busy your tongue with them and remove what you put in the way.

Reflect

What door are you trying to force open that taqwa might unlock instead?

AS-SAMAD

The Eternal Refuge, The Self-Sufficient Master

اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ

"Allah, the Eternal Refuge."
[Al-Ikhlas, 112:2]

The Meaning

  • The Perfect Lord. The Supreme Master. Every attribute of perfection belongs to Him — nothing is missing.

  • The One all creation turns to for every need and every crisis. Everyone in the heavens and earth asks Him.

  • Hearts turn toward Him with hope and fear. He alone has everything you need.

As-Samad In Your Life

  • Everyone needs something. You need provision. Kings need power. All of creation turns to As-Samad. He needs nothing from anyone.

  • You go to people for help and they let you down. They're busy. They forget. They can't deliver. As-Samad is never unavailable. Never overwhelmed.

  • Every day He manages the affairs of the universe. Answering prayers. Giving life. Taking life. Your problem isn't too small for His attention or too big for His power.

How You Live Differently

  • Go to As-Samad first, not last. Stop exhausting yourself with people who can't help, then turning to Allah when they fail.

  • Need money? Ask As-Samad. Need healing? Ask As-Samad. Need guidance? Ask As-Samad. Stop scattering your needs across creation when the Creator is right there.

  • Depend on Him alone. People will fail you. Circumstances will shift. As-Samad never changes. He's always enough.

WORTH YOUR TIME

May Allah soften our hearts and make us among those who remember Him,

Abu Ja’far Guled
